"A district in northern India is offering prizes including television sets, food processors and even a Tata Nano car for people who agree to undergo sterilisation, a doctor told AFP on Friday."We want to promote sterilisation," Pratap Singh Dutter, the deputy chief medical officer of Jhunjhunu district in the north Indian state of Rajasthan, told AFP."

Our Invisible Addicts says that people over 65 should ration their tipples. One and a half units a day is the recommended amount – less than half the amount for younger people. And you need to stop any illicit drug habits that you've kept on from earlier years. You may even need to look at the medicines you're taking because chances are, by the time you're over 65, you might not be taking them properly. About a third of those over 65 take four or more prescribed drugs a day."

"Hidden camera reveals abuse in nursing home"

"An Ohio nursing home is under fire after a hidden camera installed by a patient's son caught caregivers brutally abusing his elderly mother, according to a report.Two nurse's aides were fired from the Prentiss Center for Skilled Nursing Care in Cleveland and a third was disciplined after they were filmed manhandling 78-year-old Esther Piskor, an investigation by Cleveland's WKYC television revealed."
