Ukraine bans public events

There has been an outbreak of some kind of flu in Ukraine; 67 people have died and 255,000 are infected. Around 22 people tested positive for swine flu, but it's hard to tell whether the H1N1 virus is responsible for all the cases.

H1N1 vaccine controversy

Federal health authorities are encouraging everyone to get the H1N1 vaccine. According to the World Health Organization, the H1N1 vaccines have been proven to be safe, and they have the same degree of effectiveness as the vaccine for seasonal influenza. No adverse effects has been noted.

The H1N1 vaccine has been tested in both clinical trials and live vaccination campaigns in 14 countries. The results were reviewed by a group of experts from around the world. This group is the highest-level advisory body to the World Health Organization on vaccination policy.

Sexuality project
