"Televangelist Pat Robertson has given his blessing to divorce - as long as one spouse is afflicted with Alzheimer's Disease.The religious broadcaster and conservative lodestone made the surprising remark Tuesday during his nationally syndicated TV show, "The 700 Club."
It came in response to a viewer's question about what advice should be given to a pal who began stepping out on his spouse after she was diagnosed with the incurable neurological disorder, The Associated Press reported."

"Praying in the streets of Paris is against the law starting Friday, after the interior minister warned that police will use force if Muslims, and those of any other faith, disobey the new rule to keep the French capital's public spaces secular.
Claude Guéant said that ban could later be extended to the rest of France, in particular to the Mediterranean cities of Nice and Marseilles, where "the problem persists".
He promised the new legislation would be followed to the letter as it "hurts the sensitivities of many of our fellow citizens".
"My vigilance will be unflinching for the law to be applied. Praying in the street is not dignified for religious practice and violates the principles of secularism, the minister told Le Figaro newspaper."

"Paris: Broad sweeps of the human genome have exposed genetic mutations that boost the risk of the devastating yet baffling diseases of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, according to two studies published Sunday.
The independent studies, each conducted by a consortium of about 200 scientists, also found significant genetic overlap between the debilitating mental disorders."

"Google Inc. is taking another step toward make the credit card obsolete, firing up its digital payment service that will enable people to make purchases simply by waving their smartphones at the cash register.The Google Wallet also got a boost by bringing in Visa, the world's largest credit card company. MasterCard was already on board. Both Visa and MasterCard have credit card terminals at hundreds of thousands of locations that will work with wireless purchasing. Google said it was now working to include support for Visa, American Express and Discover accounts in future versions of the software."

"OTTAWA — Following Quebec's largest animal seizure at a dog breeding kennel northwest of Ottawa, the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies is appealing to would-be dog owners to think and research before they buy."You need to think about where you're getting them from. Many of the common sources out there are supplied by puppy mills," said Barbara Cartwright, the CEO of the CFHS.
More than 500 dogs were removed from the Paws "R" Us kennel in Clarendon Township, Que., during the weekend seizure carried out by Humane Society International Canada, the Quebec ministry of fisheries, food and agriculture and area police. Volunteers loaded the dogs onto transport trucks Friday and Saturday and took them to an emergency shelter to receive medical attention."
