"If someone told you that chemicals known as PBDEs are building up in the environment throughout the United States, how urgently would you want to do something about it? What if you heard that 100 percent of nursing mothers studied in your region were found to have breast milk contaminated with toxic flame retardants? Which information would motivate you to immediate, decisive action?

In the Pacific Northwest in late 2004, both of these statements were found to be true. By 2007, the state of Washington had implemented the strongest regulation in the country against use of PBDEs—toxic flame retardants—and several other states had banned their use."

"James Murdoch Could Face Criminal Charges"

"As if things couldn't get any worse for the Murdoch empire, new reports are emerging that James Murdoch--the head of News Corp's international holdings, and, until recently, the seeming heir apparent to father Rupert Murdoch--could face criminal charges in both the U.S. and the U.K.

Murdoch has admitted that he authorized out-of-court settlements to victims of phone hacking during his time as head of News International, the British division of News Corp--and that the company misled Parliament repeatedly."

"One million lawsuit for The situation"

"Yet another 'Jersey Shore' cast member is facing a lawsuit with a very hefty price tag. Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino's former mangers are suing the reality star for $1 million.

What caused their business relationship to sour? According to TMZ, Gotham NYC Entertainment is claiming Sorrentino breached their contract when he fired them in May for "lack of performance."

The management company says the 'Jersey Shore' star failed to give them the required 30-day notice to fix any problems before he terminated their services."
